On August 24th we held our annual Back to school fair at Neighborhood Church. In total we provided 96 students with backpacks and all the supplies they would need to start the school year off on a good note.
This fair is entirely donation based, so we would not be able to do it without the help of our community partners. Overall we collected enough supplies for about 140 students. Supplies that were left over are made available to schools and counselors who may have some families that missed out on our event. The rest is then available throughout the year on an as need basis.
Again thank you so much to all those who donated supplies, time, and space including: members and staff of University Place Presbyterian Church, Neighborhood Church for opening their doors, and our gracious volunteers who helped the event run smoothly and efficiently. We couldn't do it without you!
